On March 22, the National Fund hosted it’s first Women in Entrepreneurship event with a panel discussion. The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Planning and Development, Ms. Hind Al-Sabeeh, welcomed the attendees with her speech on the effectiveness of “Women in Entrepreneurship”.
The four panelists represent a full range of business and entrepreneurial expertise, and included Social Media expert Hind Al-Nahid; Injaz CEO, Rana Al-Naibari; Founder of Khaleejesque magazine, Fouz Al-Sabah; & moderator, Danah Mado.
Panel discussion highlights the increasing role that women are playing in creating success stories in startups and entrepreneurship across Kuwait. Panelists also addressed a variety of topics including best practices for social media, how women can support each other, and educating young women early on pursuing their passion and start their businesses.
CEO of Injaz-Kuwait, Rana Naibari, expressed the importance of focusing on the youth and honing their skills to manage their own businesses at an early age.
Founder of khaleejesque magazine, Fouz Al-Sabah, talked about the beginnings of the magazine and its success at a time despite the decline of print magazines and growth of online publications.
Networking and an exhibit that featured Kuwaiti women entrepreneurs followed the discussion at 8:30 p.m.
